OUR MISSION

"Building long lasting friendships, establishing bonds, developing skills and fostering values for life." Queensland Fiji Youth Rugby Association is a family friendly community based sporting club in the heart of the Queensland. Rugby is steeped deep in our tradition therefore we exist to promote and foster excellence and enjoyment in the sport of Rugby Union among our kids/youth. Our aim is to provide a fun, safe, enjoyable environment that encourages all participants to reach their full potential (no matter what their aspirations may be), promote and foster individual and team excellence and enjoy rugby union. We will do this by providing the best possible facilities in an environment that aims to foster children’s wellbeing - developing friendship and lifelong bonds (as well as protecting both the traditions and the future of the association). Our success will be measured by the pride our members take within the association and the role models we produce within our community. We encourage the entire family to participate in all our events and make a conscious effort to design all activities so that all members of our families are not only invited but also want to participate. With the ongoing help from our sponsors and our wonderful support base of volunteers, family and friends we will continue to grow into a force in the development of Rugby Union. Together we will raise much needed funds to help the association continue to create a fantastic environment for all our junior players and their families.

HOW WE TRAIN

U16s boys with their coach Kelevi Tuicolo

Boys trained with full protective gears as in mouth guards, rugby boots, head gear and strapping for those that need it.

Currently we are fortunate to be using Sunnybank rugby union clubs facilities.

We aim to have all age groups which is U10s to U18s boys and girls team; so no child misses out on the opportunity to play for Queensland Fiji.

Training is conducted by the individual coaches of their age group, Each coach has an assistant coach and a manager.

U18 Boys final with australia

The u18 boys displayed some good quality rugby during the whole three days. Was a joy to witness the talent and passion shown on the field. Thankful for this oppportunity that allowed them to play together representing their island nation.

After their thrilling contest in the semi finals with QLD Barbarians. This boys were the livewire of the festival with their singing, dancing and full of energy. The best cheerleaders supporting their older brothers.
